Students Dressed As Their Favorite Book Character On Read Across America Day
Looking for a good book?
Summer Reading Challenge Information
Students meet every week in the TCS library for library lessons and book check out. Here they are introduced to many different authors, a variety of genres and award winning books. Lessons touch on many subjects and include how to locate books in the library, the Big6 research process and the significance of primary sources. Internet safety, effective searching, and website evaluation are also discussed. In addition to any books that pique their interest, students are encouraged to read the Connecticut Nutmeg Award Nominee Books in order to vote for their favorite titles in April.
